Target was supposed to be the \u201cgood\u201d big-box store\u2014the place with modern home d\u00e9cor, clothes you might actually wear and still fit in at the office, and a vibe that made you forget you were at a slightly bougier Walmart. But in 2025 they put out a PR proudly declaring they\u2019re ending their DEI programs. So essentially, they\u2019re out here pandering to the MAGA crowd. Somebody at Target HQ needs to realize the culture hasn\u2019t shifted just because 1\/3 of the country voted for a twice impeached conman despite his felony convictions. The country didn\u2019t suddenly become a MAGA wonderland. People still want companies that stand for something, not ones that shout, \u201cWe don\u2019t care about inclusion anymore! We ain\u2019t WOKE! Come shop with us!\u201d I mean, I\u2019m realistic to know that the executive boards of most places I shop are republicans because they\u2019re very pro-capitalist, but at least most of those executives have the business savvy to talk out of both sides of their mouths.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
